30+ Health and Performance: Background
With a background in professional football both as a player and a coach/manager, Shane’s interest in sports science rehab is what encouraged him to take up personal training and start his first club. After years of working at a small scale, he wanted to make the transition from personal trainer to fitness business owner, and that’s where FMA came in.
The challenge
Having gained his personal training qualifications and while running a small enterprise with a few staff, Shane needed help creating leads and came to FMA for help. He was attending the 2020 Mastermind event in Dublin when news broke of the impending lockdown, and was faced with a huge amount of uncertainty about what this meant for his business.
How we helped
Along with all fitness business owners, Shane was required to keep a cool head and come up with a strategy going forward amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It’s not for discussion if it’ll be successful or not, the only question is: Will you do the work?”
“FMA know their stuff; their approach is tried and tested. For me, it’s been a game changer.”
